Pole Party FAQsOur pole parties are a magical experience of fun, empowerment and bonding with your girlfriends. We bring a portable dance pole to your home, along with all the trimmings for a fabulous girls' night out. We can also host your party in our studio. One of our trained party presenters will lead your party, teaching everyone 8-12 moves on the dance pole. At the end of the night we put everything together and each woman gets to put on her own "show" to the resounding cheers of her friends. And to top off a fantastic evening, everyone leaves with a goody bag of treats and surprises, with a special gift bag for the hostess or the guest of honour. Women have told us it's the most fun they've ever had fully clothed!
Our parties are extremely popular for stagettes and birthdays, whether your own or a friend's. We've also had women celebrating their retirement, a promotion, an engagement, or just for a fun girls' night out for no reason at all! You deserve time out from your busy life to spend with your friends in a fun and empowering environment...do you need any more reason than that?!
Definitely not! Our pole parties are all about fun and empowerment and meeting your inner pole dancing diva. There's no stripping involved. Leave your clothes on, take your inhibitions off!
Parties can be held either in your home or at our studio. Home parties cost a wee bit more as we have additional preparation and travel to come to you.
We charge a flat fee for up to 8 women, and a per person fee for each person over the 8. For a studio party the flat fee is $250 and for a home party it's $300. Split between you, that's about $30-$35 per person. That's much less than the cost of a typical girls' night out and we're willing to bet you'll have way more fun! Please note that GST is added to our prices.
For in home parties we allow a maximum of 12 women. This is for safety, and also so everyone gets enough pole time. Our studio can accommodate up to 27 women for a pole party (we've got 9 poles!) and in this case we would also provide additional instructors to make sure everyone has a great time and can follow along.
The party lasts approximately 2 hours for an in home party, and about 1.5 hours for a studio party. This is because we have additional poles in the studio so we can learn the moves faster. For an in home party, your party presenter will arrive about half an hour prior to the start time to set up the pole and get everything ready for your fun night. It takes about 15 minutes to pack up once the party is over.
Your party fee includes a professionally trained party presenter for approximately 1.5 - 2 hours of pole dancing fun. We also supply the dance pole(s), music, a cd player if required, boas, costumes and props, non-alcoholic champagne and of course, goody bags for everyone at the end of the night!
Our portable poles are friction mounted via a rubber pad that fits over a ceiling joist so there is no damage to your ceiling whatsoever. We can install the pole on either carpet or flooring, again with no damage. In almost four years of doing home pole parties we've never had any issues with damage. However, please be aware that there are specific requirements for ceiling height and type. We'll discuss these with you when booking your party though, so you can be confident your home will be appropriate and safe for a party.
Absolutely! Our parties are very popular for stagettes and birthdays, and we are happy to work with you if you have a particular theme for the night. We also do Christmas parties (who needs a tree if you've got a pole in your living room?), Valentine's parties (tell your guy you'd like a pole party for Valentine's Day, give him our number and watch him go to work!), "Pole-o-we'en parties and more! We even have a special Latin theme pole party, Salsa Pole. The possibilities are endless, just ask!
Our parties are all about fun and empowerment for women. We have found that with men in a pole dancing environment, the whole focus shifts from the women's experience to the men's entertainment. We want all women at the party to feel comfortable, and so we ask the guys to find something else to do on the night of your pole party. Of course, we can make exceptions in special circumstances, such as a bride-to-be who wants to show off her moves for her fiance at the end of the night, but we ask you to please discuss this with us ahead of time so that we can ensure the actual pole party remains a safe and welcoming environment for all your guests.
For your maximum safety and enjoyment, we do request that if you will be serving alcohol at your party that you either wait until the pole dancing is finished, or that you limit the amount of alcohol served to no more than 1 drink per person before or during the pole dancing portion of your party. You don't drink before working out at the gym, or before driving your car. Similary, the pole--while fun and empowering--is also a potentially dangerous piece of equipment if not respected. We want to keep your night fun, enjoyable and most of all, safe for everyone, which is why we don't promote or condone the use of alcohol at our parties. Besides, as so many women have told us, you'll be having so much fun you won't need alcohol!
We do our parties in bare feet, and any kind of comfortable clothing is fine. Yoga or fitness wear is popular, but jeans work well too. Shorts or a skirt in the summer can be fun. The only thing we ask is that you avoid heavy belts and buckles as these can scratch or damage the pole. For the same reason, we ask everyone to remove their jewelry before getting started.
All women are welcome at our pole parties. Our oldest pole dancer so far was 87, and our youngest was 16. The moves we teach you are suitable for beginners and safety is our biggest priority. We can adapt any of our dance moves if necessary so that everyone will have success. The only age restriction is that because we need to have all participants sign a waiver, young women who are 18 and under will need a parent or guardian present to sign on their behalf.
Just give us a call at 250 754-7090 or email us with your preferred date. It's best to have a backup date in mind in case we are booked on the date you want. We require a deposit of 50% of your party fee in order to reserve your date, and this can be paid by cash or cheque.
We offer parties all over Vancouver Island, though there is an additional charge of $30 per hour for time and travel outside of the Nanaimo area. We will travel from Nanoose to Cedar at no additional cost, and can give you a quote for travel charges outside of this area.
Your deposit will be refunded (less a $20 administration fee) if you cancel up to 10 days before your party date. If you cancel within 10 days of your party date, your deposit will be applied to a future date of your choice (subject to availability).
Yes, we sell a variety of high quality dance poles for those who'd like to continue their pole dancing adventure. We also offer a line of instructional DVDs in addition to our studio classes. Dance poles are available in both 1 and 2 piece models, and come in stainless steel (regular or petite) or coloured versions (red, white, pink or black).
